First Look: Knockout Drums by Soundiron

 

I often use heavy drums in my hybrid orchestral pieces. The main quality I look for is punch, and Knockout Drums has punch galore. The kit is detailed and deeply sampled with up to 16 round robins in the full versions of the instrument. In the mix, they sit really well, especially when using one of the preset mixes. The kit is interchangeable with several options and you really feel you have a drummer sitting in your studio with you. Soundiron has knocked it out of the park with this one, if you need heavy drums, Knockout Drums comes highly recommended.
