Created during the Ukrainian invasion, Swords to Ploughshares is a truly unique library captured by Ukrainian sound designer/composer, Maks Histibe with support from Soundiron. Taking war-time sounds sampled near Kyiv, Swords is useable in several genres with each captured sound telling a poignant story. One of the most intriguing sample libraries this year.

Checking Out: Swords to Ploughshares by Soundiron

Swords to Ploughshares is not only unique in it’s conception but also sonically sounding. The demos are exceptional which is what drew me to this library. It’s rough and ready, containing sounds you will never find anywhere else. Maks Histibe gathered all of the sounds from the heart of the conflict which is amazing initself. For a musical application, these sounds are versatile and limited by your imagination. I urge you to check out the demos and video material to get a good idea of how all of the instruments work together. This is a fantastic library for anyone looking to step outside of the norm.
