First Look: Dandy Virtual Bassist by UJAM

When I first read that UJAM was releasing a new Virtual Bassist, Dandy, I couldn’t figure out how this one would stand apart from the 3 other Virtual Bass Instruments UJAM has already released. UJAM‘s previous bass instruments cover a lot of ground. Mellow covers the stand-up acoustic, Royal is more of an “All-Round Session Bass” sound and Rowdy is Rockin with a picked overdriven sound.

Dandy is touted as the Soul/Funk/R&B addition to the line and I was eager to check out what it sounded like.

Since the 3 other Virtual Bass Instruments were first released, UJAM has upgraded the Virtual Bassist plugin adding more phrases and functionality including MIDI drag to DAW capability.

In this first look video, I share my experience opening up the library for the first time and getting a feel for what the new plugin has to offer.

Facts

Dandy is a sampled Electric Bass Guitar with Flat-Wound Strings.

The library comes with 2 modes: Player Mode for Phrases and  Instrument Mode for access to the Multi-Sampled Instrument.

In all the library comes with 30 Styles and 990 Phrases with over 100 tone Presets including 15 Finisher Multi-Effect Modes.

The plugin also allows users to MIDI Drag & Drop and the User Interface is resizable.

Dandy is a VST, AU 2, and AAX compatible plugin.
