Review: Signals ‘Blue’ by Audio Brewers

Engine is very flexible and intuitive
Fresco Pad is really cool and brings out the best of the instrument – it includes up to 2 hours of record capture time!
Tonality assignments mean you can play complex chordal textures with simplicity
Presented in both Stereo and Ambisonics versions
I would like to have a larger variety of timbres and different kinds of samples/atmospheres – the timbre of the sounds tends to be very similar
Signals ‘Blue’ is all about textures. While other textural libraries focus on loading you up with presets, Signals ‘Blue’ is all about giving the user a small palette of rich textures along with a flexible sound design engine through which to create something unique. And it is delivered in both Ambisonic and Stereo!

Review: Signals ‘Blue’ by Audio Brewers
With Signals ‘Blue’, Audio Brewers presents a powerful engine with a select set of sounds that can be shaped and turned into custom textural background sounds that can help fill the empty space in the background of your ambient or instrumental tracks. With the inclusion of the Fresco Pad, these textural sounds can move and morph into something different by the second.

Thoughts
Signals ‘Blue’ is the second release from Audio Brewers. This time, Audio Brewers have taken their excellent sound design engine and used it to allow you to create moving and unique textural background sounds that can help you fill out your ambient or instrumental tracks. While there’s only a few starting sounds available to choose from, the powerful sound design engine allows you to layer and modulate these sounds to create unique sonic textures, while the Fresco Pad bends and warps those textures into living, breathing pads and atmospheres. While Audio Brewers have included 50 presets to get you started, Signals ‘Blue’ isn’t a preset-lovers library as much as it is a sound designer’s playground. The fun of this library is in the warping, mangling, layering and customization possibilities that lie under the hood of the powerful sound design engine, allowing you to create your own unique sonic textures. For those who have touchscreens, the library supports the ability to draw your own textures.
