Quick Look: UFO TONE by Soundiron


I am a huge fan of tongue drums, tank drums, and hang drums with their complex overtones and mystic harmonic resonance. So I was really eager to check out Soundiron‘s new UFO TONE instrument for Kontakt.

The tongue drum that the Soundiron team sampled for this instrument was discovered half-buried in a field and is a great testament to the developer’s love of the quirky, weird and wonderful with a range of close and far mic’d samples as well as a nice selection of custom sound-designed fx and ambiance.

In this video I have a first look at UFO TONE, sharing the presets, sounds, some of the functionality of the instruments as well as some of my thoughts on the library along the way.
