I was extremely excited to lift the lid on the new VSL Synchron Woodwinds. Aside from completing the Synchron series, through the use of the Big Bang Orchestra I have been a huge fan of the VSL Woodwind sound. The Synchron stage never fails to deliver and this deep library really delivers in terms of instrument range, realism and articulations. The ever-present Synchron Player mix options are great fun to go from an extremely close mix to a huge, cinematic soundscape. The workflow is fast, the instruments just sparkle out of the box and Synchron Woodwinds are now a mainstay of my orchestral template. While the price tag is rather high and the hard drive real estate quite large, the library is so vast, detailed, and dynamic, it’s worth every penny and more. A pro-level library that fits perfectly with the rest of the VSL series.
