Checking Out: Synchron World Winds by Vienna Symphonic Library

by

Probably the best world instruments legato patches I have used. Vienna Symphonic Library has released Synchron World Winds which features nine instruments taken from eight regions of the world. With their typical high sampling standard and easy-to-use Synchron Player, this is one comprehensive collection that will fill all of your world wind instrument needs.

Thoughts

VSL makes incredible libraries and the World Winds is no exception. Featuring nine world instruments taken from eight different places of the world, this cross-section of world winds is a great example of wind sampling done right. The sampling is the pro level we have come to expect from VSL and the performances from Veronika Vitazkova are breathtaking. The sheer range of articulations are superb and while I’ve stated you need to spend time with this instrument to create human performances, the libraries are a joy to work with. The Synchron World Winds come highly recommended and I can’t wait to see how VSL expand its Synchron Series in the future.
