VSL have once again proven why they are a top tier developer when it comes to instrument creating and sampling. Synchron Percussion III is massive, diverse and sounds excellent no matter which instrument you use. I found this collection to strike the perfect balance between orchestral percussion, exotic percussion and just downright unique percussion. With such a range of instruments comes a range of playing styles, articulations and different beaters to strike the instruments with. I could easily find myself using this library not only for orchestral scoring, but ambient, crime, drama, underscore and meditation compositions. The content is huge, the Synchron player provides all of the mic mixes and sound design capabilities and it just sounds wonderful. If you are looking for a percussion package which steps outside the norm, then look no further.
