Review: Drum Fury 2 by Sample Logic

by

With the great success of Drum Fury a couple of years ago, Sample Logic have released a follow up extension library in the guise of Drum Fury 2. This features the same great sampling techniques and presentation of the original Drum Fury yet with more unusual and lesser sampled percussive instruments. With some really neat advancements in the GUI and some alternative instruments, Drum Fury 2 is a worthy standalone percussion library in it’s own right. Together, they create a power-house team of all things percussive. Need to turbocharge your percussive palette? Look no further.

Review: Drum Fury 2 by Sample Logic

Sample Logic have built upon their wildly successful Drum Fury library with a second installment, Drum Fury 2. This time around, the huge epic sounds have been replaced with smaller organic and electronic sounds, with a huge range of non-typical instruments. While the percussion can get big, it never loses sight of being clear, punchy and dynamic. With several round robins for each hit, in practice Drum Fury 2 is capable of creating ranges of ensembles from world percussion to found sounds to the traditional drum kit. If you’re looking to add more depth to your percussion palette, Drum Fury 2 would easily do that. But if you want a great sound design tool with a huge amount of possibilities, Drum Fury 2 fills that role also!
