Composer Danny Cocke’s Electric VI Guitar Guest Pick: Red Planet Piano
Celebrating VI Guitar Week we reached out to a few composer friends to share their TOP PICKs for Guitar Virtual Instruments.
Composer Danny Cocke‘s stays very busy scoring trailers for some of the biggest blockbuster films. He took some time out of his busy schedule to tell us about his favorite Electric VI Guitar: Red Planet Piano by Audio Imperia (whaattt???)
“My latest go-to ambient electric guitar that gives me instant inspiration and a great space to play in, is actually a piano library!”
You can hear a bit of the Red Planet Piano Guitar after 1:23 of James Everingham “Infinite” (naked) below.
“The Audio Imperia Red Planet Piano has a secondary patch that is has a wonderfully clean and luscious verb guitar. I have a patch saved with the piano turned off and the red guitar knob all the way up. It’s made me plug my actual guitar in a lot less”
I had a chance to review the Klavier libraries a few months ago (below) and can see why Danny is mentioning the library as a Guitar pick. The sound is lush and warm and is nearly spot on to the guitar texture that Harry Gregson-Williams used for his score in The Martian.
Red Planet Piano sells for $139 from Audio Imperia
