Strands instantly makes an impression with its beautifully designed interface. it looks very dark and ominous, though also hauntingly beautiful- and this can also describe many of the sounds it is capable of. Strands has a huge list of snapshots, or presets, which will definitely satisfy those who want instant satisfaction and value a quick workflow- each snapshot has unique parameters automatically mapped to the mod wheel, or CC01, for instant inspiration and variety.
In regards to all the snapshots, the developer included almost every combination possible of the sound sources to aid in accessibility for the blind and visually impaired.
If you want to dive deeper, you can, and each of the individually recorded sound sources sound great even on their own. You get a dual-layer morphing engine, along with basic parameters for easy access, but you can also swap out sound sources from 32 samples or synths, and add LFOs, effects, and more as you see fit.
