Earlier this year, Emergence Audio released the first version of Quantum, an evolving pad creation tool for creating pads, drones, and pulses with motion and movement. With version 2.0, Emergence Audio has added new features that make it even easier to elicit emotion and movement for your underscore or ambient work. Here are the changes version 2 includes:
-Updated interface
-New waveforms for the LFO modulation tool
-New impulse responses for the on-board reverb
-Triplet option for LFO syncing
-Toggle buttons for moving between source material in the sound layers

Version 2 makes an already nice pad creation tool even better. I especially like the randomize feature. Clicking “Randomize” will instantly give you a completely new sound. Features like this are important when you’re looking for quick sound inspiration. The sounds within Quantum 2.0 are full of emotion. Some of the samples are literally minutes long, constantly evolving and moving, meaning you can hold a few notes and instantly create beautiful pads and sound beds for underscore work. With free Kontakt Player compatibility and a low price tag, Quantum 2.0 is an excellent tool for creating emotional pads and drones and can even produce some uniquely beautiful pulses.
