Intimate Legato Violin is a rare exception to the rule. Most solo string instruments score on only one of two fronts: they are either inexpensive and sound like it, or they are filled with realism with a price tag to match. With the Intimate Legato series, Sonixinema have managed to score on both fronts. Not only does this solo violin emit a beautiful and sweet tone, but it also comes at an entry-level price point and is compatible with the free Kontakt Player. However, while the name emphasizes the legato playing style, this library also includes sustained patches that extend both the usefulness and flexibility of this instrument. Like its predecessor, Intimate Legato Cello, Intimate Legato Violin scores big points for its multiple mic positions, flexible Kontakt snapshots, and easy to use sound design engine.
