Review: The Ghost Bundle for Kontakt by Triumph Audio

Triumph Audio’s The Ghost Bundle is a powerhouse collection that includes three instruments for Kontakt: Ghost Cello, Ghost Cello 2: The Dark Side, and Ghost Ukelin. As someone who reviews and purchases a lot of sample libraries, I was immediately struck by the sheer volume of content packed into this bundle. It’s one of the most extensive collections I’ve encountered.

The variety in this library is staggering. From gritty, organic bowed textures to processed, ambient patches, The Ghost Bundle delivers an expansive palette. Some of the sounds lean heavily into horror and atmospheric vibes, which is perfect for cinematic or experimental projects. Others surprised me with their versatility—like the beautifully processed electronic plucks, which could easily find a home in an ambient or electronic music context.

What truly impressed me was the depth of the engine. The built-in effects like convolution reverb and delay dramatically transform the sounds, making them adaptable for multiple genres. For instance, a raw, scratchy bow texture might work beautifully in a horror movie, but with a touch of delay and reverb, it morphs into something suited for a cyberpunk or sci-fi track. This flexibility is a standout feature of the bundle, allowing the same sound to fit into vastly different musical settings.

While the content is incredible, I did find myself wishing for a bit more intuitive organization. With such a vast amount of material, navigating the patches can feel overwhelming at times. That said, the payoff is worth it once you dive in. There’s so much to explore here that even after 48 hours of testing, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface.

Triumph Audio has created something truly special with The Ghost Bundle. Whether you’re scoring a horror film, producing an ambient album, or crafting experimental electronic tracks, this collection has the tools to elevate your work. The combination of raw, organic textures and highly processed patches makes it an invaluable addition to any composer or producer’s toolkit.

This bundle stands out not only for its vast content but also for the creative possibilities it unlocks. I’m excited to continue exploring it and discovering new ways to use these sounds.
