Review: Mobilis by The Very Loud Indeed Co.
As a composer of all things tension and investigative, I am often crying out for new hybrid percussion elements. Mobilis is a percussion powerhouse delivering hybrid loop and hit in spades. Each and every one is production ready, will require little to no tweaking and Mobilis is the instrument I’ve been hoping to come along for a while. During my several hours testing out Mobilis, I have to say not only does it fit in my productions, but I am also finding it very inspiring to work with. The rhythms are not just straight ahead and plodding along. Nor are they over complex and useable. Each rhythm and hit in Mobilis is useable and that is what makes this such fantastic value for money. With the added bonus of single hits that you can create you own rhythms and fills with, what more could you want? Well, maybe some basic filter, EQ and FX functions? These are here too! Mobilis is an impressive instrument in terms of sound quality, design and utility which deserves a place in any composers template. Is it in mine? Yes indeed it is!
