Review Jupiter by Trevor Horn by Spitfire Audio

The ’80s were a great time, believe me, I lived through them! When I heard that Spitfire Audio was collaborating with renowned musician and producer Trevor Horn I was very excited.

Well known for his work in the Buggles and Yes, and as well as for producing dozens of albums from 80s icons such as Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones, Seal, Mike Oldfield, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and more, Trevor Horn crafted undeniable sounds that colored the 80s.

Lucky for us he’s teamed with Spitfire Audio to release a collection of Synths, FX, Drums, Basses, and a Piano from his collections through a beautiful signal chain of vintage gear.

With all the rage in lo-fi and 80s synth wave coloring our modern scores I see how this is going to be a welcome tool for those scoring for picture as well as songwriters and electronic music producers.

In today’s First Look video I’m muting my mic and playing some of the 300+ presets that come with the beta version of the instrument so we can get a feel for what it is all about.
