Review Vintage Upright (Piano) from Simple Sam Samples
Vintage Upright has a subtley-out-of-tune quality without completely becoming a novelty piano. I have used this on several projects and I love the sound of this library.

Vintage Upright doesn’t have that meticulously-sterile-studio sound so many piano libraries seem to have but instead contains a set of beautifully recorded subtly-out-of-tune expressive samples yet it is not quite a novelty piano.
One of the things that I feel made me such a huge fan of the library besides the tone of the original instrument itself is that the library is very deeply sampled. It contains over 3000, 24-bit samples with 10 velocity layers per note.
The two microphone perspectives, multi-velocity mechanical noises controls and una corda (soft pedal) samples let you shape the sound even further. The ting that takea this instrument over-the-top is that Simple Sam Sampling has created a user controllable microphone/recording noise as well as controls for stereo width as well as reverb.
Vintage Upright contains more than 3000 samples in 24 Bit with all 88 keys individually sampled in 10 dynamic levels .
The library contains 2 microphone perspectives: Close and Room and velocity adjustable mechanical noises for the pedal, hammer and release samples as well as modeled una corda (soft pedal) samples, sympathetic string resonance with real overtones and
true re-pedaling and pedal “catch”.
Vintage Upright is available from Simple Sam Samples for $49.99. At time of writing was on sale for $29.95 and included a free vintage toy piano.
