Quantum is essentially a pad library . . . but it’s a pad library with a a difference found in the nuances in sampling which give Quantum a very real feeling of life, movement and depth. There are a lot of pad instruments and synth packs in the musical world, so what is it about Quantum that will convince you to give it a place in your composing toolkit?

Review: Quantum by Emergence Audio

Quantum is rooted firmly in the analogue and modular sound spectrum. this instantly lends itself to cinematic underscoring, sci fi, crime and tension. With the emphasis on movement, Quantum has the ability to suit a whole range of needs. While it’s 120+ presets are great starting points, Quantum allows you to craft your own sound using their samples through different layering and on board effects. The instrument represents fantastic value for money as not only does it sound great, it has a huge amount of depth. Quantum is a great tool for any composer to have in their toolkit for a variety of different styles!

Contributor Pete Checkley reviews Quantum by Emergence Audio
“Quantum is essentially a pad library. But it’s a pad library with a difference! Through over 7gb of compressed samples and 120 presets, it’s dual layer engine is capable of creating enormous soundscapes or ambient atmospheres. But that’s not the difference, this is to be found in the nuances in sampling which gives Quantum a very real feeling of life, movement and depth. There are a lot of pad instruments and synth packs in the musical world, so what is it about Quantum that will convince you to give it a place in your composing toolkit?”
