First Look: Genesis Children’s Choir by AudioBro
AudioBro is back with a bang! We haven’t heard from the developer of the much beloved LA Scoring Strings and LS Drama Drums in a while, so it was a big surprise to see the developer release this Children’s Choir sample library for Kontakt. The library comes with the 4 different groups (Soprano & Altos for both Boys and Girls) with separate controls making this like having 4 choir libraries in one.
In this first look video I spend some time checking out playback and starting to familiarize myself with what the library delivers.
With this library, AudioBro not only delivers a very playable and expressive ‘build your own’ vocal phrase instrument with both Boys and Girls Sopranos and Altos, but also shows off a powerful new engine.
The phrase creation couldn’t get any simpler with a simple click and add for constructing phrases from a couple dozen Latin Syllables, 6 vowels or the ability to construct words using Prefix Vowels and Suffixes.
Checking out the Stage controls starts to show you the power of the new engine. With 3 different places for stage placement Stage Type and State Presets your able to customize the room your Children’s choir performs in easily.
Genesis Children’s Choir also has a powerful ‘Look Ahead’ feature which will save hours of programming as it allows users to set the track offset in your DAW to -350ms and let the engine do the heavy lifting to align consonants and syllable attacks on the downbeat. This is a huge advantage and you can hear just what a difference it makes in the first look video.
There are a lot more controls and mixer options that take this instrument well into hybrid territory with included Pad presets that show you just how far out you can take the playback using built-in step modulation and effects chains.
There is much more to the library and I am just scratching the surface with these comments but the big takeaway for me is just how lush beautiful and expressive this library is out of the box. The Auto Polyphonic Divisi really shines during playback and the sample set is pristine

It was created from recording a 64 Piece Children’s Choir with separate sample sets from16 Soprano Girls, 16 Alto Girls, 16 Soprano Boys, 16 Alto Boys recording sessions. Each of the Choirs has independent controls.
Genesis offers programmable Latin Phrases with Sustains, Stacattos and with the powerful engine Hybrid Pads and Aleatoric Effects.
The library comes with 4 microphone mixes for Close, Stage, Far and Full Mix and contains polyphonic real legato as well as
Auto Divisi, 3D Stage and a Look Ahead feature for syncing perfomances to your DAW.
