First Look: Dronar Rolling Percussion Module by Gothic Instruments

Checking out the official press release I see that Dronar Rolling Percussion Module is made up of an extensive sample set of expressive drum and cymbals rolls. But for me, its main draw is a massive set of beautiful, rich, atmospheric evolving pads thanks to the power of the Dronar atmosphere creator engine.

The big take away for me was just how surprisingly expressive this instrument was considering the sample set is from percussion samples of Timpani, Tom-Toms, Bells, Cymbals, Gongs, Triangles, Tam-Tams, Bass Drum, Snares, Vibraphone, Angklung, Xylophone and Balafon recordings.

After getting a chance to scratch the surface of what the Dronar Rolling Percussion has to offer through the first look video, I think this library will be extremely useful if you are scoring for horror, suspense, thriller or looking for a new tool for creating tension.

That said, there is a pretty broad variety of timbres that this instrument can create. Best of all, playback is sounding very fresh and modern, all part of the beauty of new sample sets inside the Dronar engine.
