It has been almost 10 years since Heavyocity redefined what “epic percussion” meant with the release of the original “Damage” sample library.

With the release of Damage 2 the developer is promising a “bigger, badder, and better” epic ensemble library, but can they really top the sheer force and usability of the original release? In this video, we try to answer that question by sharing what you get out of Damage 2 right out of the box.

Spoiler alert – D2 is amazing!

Damage 2 downloads as 24.22 GB and is a percussion ensembles sample library recorded at Skywalker Sound.

For the sample set Heavyocity recorded over 1600 “instrument sources including 24” to 72” gran casas, 24” to 60” Taikos, huge bass drums, giant snare ensembles, toms, ethnic drums, a myriad of struck found sound elements. They even rolled a dumpster into Skywalker Sounds to beat on and sample. These all sound amazing with excellent detail in playback.

In addition Damage 2 comes with Hybrid elements & 860+ Loops.

The interface offers 5 Mic channels (Close, Room, Hall, LFE, and CRUSH),

Damage 2 is a Kontakt Player instrument compatible with both the Full Kontakt 6.2.2 or Free Kontakt 6 Player.
