First Look: CineWinds Monster Low Winds by Cinesamples
For CineWinds Monster Low Winds, Cinesamples set out to “make woodwinds cool again.” **Spoiler alert** they have succeeded in epic fashion!
The library lives up to its name and is probably my favorite woodwind ensemble instrument release to date.
In this first look video, I share what the experience is to open up the library for the first time, play through the presets and get a feel for the functionality.

CineWinds Monster Low Winds downloads as 2.18 GB and is a sampled from a low woodwind ensemble made up of 2 Bassoons, 3 Contrabassoons, 2 Contrabass Clarinets & 3 Bass Clarinets. The library was recorded at MGM Scoring Stage at Sony Pictures Studios with all musicians seated in a semi-circle.
The library comes with ten nki presets including Monster Low Winds Articulations, Monster Low Winds Rumble, Monster Low Winds Legato, Monster Low Winds Squeaks, Monster Low Winds Sustains, Monster Low Winds Clusters, Monster Low Winds Staccato, Monster Low Winds Swells, Monster Low Winds Secco & Monster Low Winds Rips
There are also 7 Mix presets and 4 microphone position faders for control over Full Mix, Close, Room ( made of the Decca Tree – Wide) and a Surround
Highlights include Tempo Syncd Swells, a Legato Speed Knob, Dynamic Range Slider and Tape Saturation.
