Bamboo Stick Ensemble V3 is the third incarnation of Soundiron‘s Bamboo Stick Ensemble percussion library for Kontakt,
The sample-set comes from heavy raw bamboo poles manipulated and recorded being struck, clashed, bent, dragged, scraped, shattered, and pounded into splinters and includes both solo and ensemble articulations.
It’s rare when a library at this price is re-released with such massive credits but the Bamboo Stick Ensemble instrument has been used in a number of major motion picture soundtracks such as Avatar and Tron Legacy.
A truly hybrid library, the latest version of the library brings the top-notch sample set into the next generation of Soundiron‘s interface with custom LFO, Filters, ARPs and FX for each layer.
This instrument delivers a diverse range of playback, from raw percussive hits and flicks to mallet-like instruments to far-out “babiences”. What I love about this library is the ambiguous cinematic playback I find perfect for scoring. It has hints of world percussion but also includes custom sound design presets that really show you how far out the instrument’s engine can take the sounds.
