Veiled Ashes is a great instrument. There is no doubt about that. My feeling is, not only are you buying an instrument that sounds great and has some next-level design, you are buying the Observant Sound engine.

While the dual-layer, 180 sample pool and on-board effects are nothing new, the way Veiled Ashes controls and manipulates the samples is on a whole new level. By using a modular synth approach, Veiled Ashes features a unique modulation matrix at its core which takes the onboard samples to a new level.

Essentially, with all of the controls and tweakability, Veiled Ashes is an instrument without limits. This is a huge selling point and despite there being a lot of this type of instrument on the market, there is nothing as deep as this in terms of manipulating and creating your own sound. Veiled Ashes ticks all of the boxes yet it’s the expansive nature and sound design capabilities that gets my vote. A fantastic instrument.
