Augmented Orchestra is a sampled orchestra, a hybrid instrument, and a sound design playground. You can quickly get up and running with some very useful presets, but the sound design capabilities mean this instrument offers depth and flexibility as well. With both playable and sequenced orchestral content, the organic side of this instrument is deep and varied. However, with pulses, pads, textures, and more, the hybrid side of Augmented Orchestra is equally as deep. Whether you’re looking for fresh orchestral inspiration or want to experiment with orchestral textures and sounds in a non-traditional way, Augment Orchestra brings something to the table. I especially enjoy the Action sequences within Augmented Orchestra and find them to be an instant source of inspiration. However, there are so many presets and sound sources found here that I’ve barely scratched the surface of the sound design capabilities Augmented Orchestra has to offer. From a 4-layer sound engine, to dual arpeggiators, to deep modulation capabilities with dual LFOs and step modulators, to a plethora of effects, Augmented Orchestra is readily equipped for some great sound design sessions. Whether you’re looking for a plethora of presets, or a deep and customizable instrument, Augmented Orchestra has plenty of sonic territory to explore.
