Thoughts
The key to understanding Arcade for me was to think of this as a Loop player on steroids. Arcade offers a huge variety of playable instruments that let you perform and manipulate loops in real time.
Unlike the loop packs we have been using for years, Arcade offers access to their ever-growing collection (or load your own) in a pretty powerful, yet easy to use instrument.
As contributor Steve Blizin tagged Arcade as one of his “Best of 2018” instruments, I had to set aside a little time and check out the loop synthesizer system and get an idea as to what it had to offer.
Facts
Arcade is a subscription-based Loop Synthesizer instrument and service. The service boasts new content available every day with integrated instrument delivery from inside the plugin.
The loops are organized into Product Lines and are easy to search through thanks to Arcade’s Browser and Meta Search engine. Arcade also offers the ability to Load Your Own Loops into the engine. Kits are curated presets of 15 loops. White keys play loops, black keys modify them, sliders change the character.
Although Arcade is a monthly subscription service, you can cancel any time and still have access to keep the loops and instruments you have used in your productions.
