Official PR below!

Vienna, August 13, 2019 – The Vienna Symphonic Library is pleased to announce new additions to their popular series of entry-level libraries. SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volume 6 and VI Special Edition Volume 6 offer the most important articulations of the company’s popular Dimension Brass Collections. SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volume 7 and VI Special Edition Volume 7 include 22 instruments from the formerly published libraries Historic Winds I-III, Recorders, and Glass Instruments. To celebrate the occasion, the Austrian company offers a 30% discount on most of their other brass collections.

Special Edition Volume 6 – Dimension Brass
The VI Special Edition Volume 6, powered by the players Vienna Instruments and Vienna Instruments Pro, as well as the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Vol. 6, powered by the Vienna Synchron Player, feature the most important playing techniques from the company’s popular Vienna Dimension Brass I and Vienna Dimension Brass II Collections.

Five brass ensembles of four players each are included: Four trumpets, four French horns, four trombones, four Wagner tubas and one “low brass ensemble” (one tuba, one bass trombone and two tenor trombones). All players of the ensembles were recorded with individual microphones as they played in homogeneous groups, capturing all of the human interactions and slight imperfections of a live performance. This unique recording process allows users to access each voice of the ensemble separately, either manually or with the automatic Humanize feature of the sample players Vienna Instruments Pro and Vienna Synchron Player. Articulations include staccato, sustained, marcato, legato and sforzato, all played with and without mutes.

Special Edition Volume 7 – Historic Instruments
The VI Special Edition Volume 7 and the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Vol. 7 are the perfect choice for users following an authentic performance practice or for anyone who’s looking for new inspiring sound sources.

They include 22 instrumental rarities, taken from the formerly published libraries Historic Winds I-III, Recorders and Glass Instruments: Transverse flute, Baroque oboe, oboe da caccia, ophicleide, serpent, cornett (zink), crumhorn, four recorders (covering the soprano, alto, tenor and bass registers), natural trumpet (in three different keys), natural horn (with seven different tuning slides), and glass harmonica. Articulations include staccato, marcato, sustained, legato and sforzato (except for the glass harmonica).

Introductory Prices
Both new libraries are available in two versions: The VI Special Editions Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 come with the free Vienna Instruments player, while the SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions Vol. 6 and Vol. 7 are powered by the free Vienna Synchron Player. Each version is currently available at a special introductory price of $269 (reg. $364) each for the VI Special Edition Vol. 6 and the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Vol. 6, and $218 (reg. $297) each for the VI Special Edition Vol. 7 and the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Vol. 7, respectively. Existing users of the VI Special Editions may get the SYNCHRON-ized counterparts at super-low crossgrade prices, which are even lower in August, 2019, starting at $28.
