New: SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volume 5 – Dimension Strings

Vienna, July 8, 2019 – The Vienna Symphonic Library is pleased to announce the release of SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volume 5 and VI Special Edition Volume 5 – two entry-level libraries that offer the most important articulations of the company’s popular Dimension Strings Collections. To celebrate the occasion, the Austrian company extends introductory pricing on all new Volumes of the SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions through July 31, 2019, and also offers discounts of up to 30% on all other string collections. To round out all string offerings, a major update with new Cantabile and Legato articulations is now available for all registered users of Synchron Strings I, free of charge.

Special Edition Volume 5 – Dimension Strings
Even the best musicians never play in perfect unison; slight imperfections in pitch and timing, as well as different timbres and vibrato intensities create a lively, beautiful ensemble sound. When playing as a group, musicians continually adapt to each other, and their interactions within the ensemble reveal the “magic” of a live performance. With Vienna Symphonic Library’s unique Dimension Strings approach, all string players of the ensembles were recorded with individual microphones as they played in homogeneous groups, capturing all of the human interactions and slight imperfections of a live performance. This unique process allows the user to access each voice of the ensemble separately, either manually or with the automatic Humanize feature of the sample players Vienna Instruments Pro and Vienna Synchron Player.
The new library is available in two versions: VI Special Edition Vol. 5 comes with the free Vienna Instruments player, while the SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Vol. 5 is powered by the free Vienna Synchron Player. Each version is currently available at an introductory price of $286 (reg. $386) and offers string ensembles of eight violins, six violas, six cellos and four double basses that feature the most important playing techniques from the popular Collections Vienna Dimension Strings I and II. Articulations include staccato, détaché, sustained, sforzato, legato, portamento, tremolo, and pizzicato, all played without mute (“senza sordino”) and with mute (“con sordino”).
During the introductory period through July 31, 2019, all previously available VI and SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volumes carry low promotional prices, starting at $213. What’s more, existing users of the VI Special Editions may get the SYNCHRON-ized counterparts at super-low crossgrade prices, which are even lower in July, 2019, starting at $28.

Free Update of Synchron Strings I
A recent update with the Cantabile patches of the 1st Violins proved to be a well-received addition to Synchron Strings I. With the current update, this lyrical, soaring articulation is now available for 2nd violins, violas and cellos free of charge for registered users of Synchron Strings I. What’s more, the Vienna team updated and improved all previously existing legatos such as soft, fast and slurred legatos to achieve the same playability as the Cantabile patches. Synchron Strings I is currently available at a special promotional prices of $498 (reg. $665) for the Standard Library and $912 (reg. $1,220) for the Full Library.
