Spitfire Audio has officially announced the return of LABS!

Spitfire Audio has become an exciting force in the world of sample libraries and virtual instruments. Renowned for their dedication to the art of recording and musicality, the British company has collaborated with the likes of Hans Zimmer and Ólafur Arnalds, offering detailed recordings used by composers and music producers alike. From full orchestras to synthesizers, pianos and percussion, Spitfire has recorded, in depth, the best players and instruments in the world.
LABS is a new series of tools that retain this dedication to quality but altogether remove the barrier to entry, offering a simplistic solution for music makers — instantly playable and great-sounding instruments, at no cost. Launching with the popular Soft Piano and a new Strings library, these instruments are available for download immediately and operate within a dedicated plugin (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX), designed in collaboration with UsTwo (Monument Valley).
New LABS libraries will be released each month, and serve as the sonic exploration arm of Spitfire Audio. Expect key traditional instruments, alongside experiments discovered along the way; made by musicians in London for anyone, anywhere.
It remains Spitfire’s ethos to use live performances where possible, but when up against time and budget, Spitfire is the next best thing. By paying the players and collaborators royalties, Spitfire Audio helps sustain an incredible part of our musical heritage at the same time as championing innovation within it.
