Soundiron releases Tuned Artillery 2.0
Soundiron released the newly upgraded Tuned Artillery 2.0. Until December 7th, you can purchase this metallic percussion library for $29 (regular price $49). Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.5 or later. More details from Soundiron below.
Tuned Artillery is an arsenal of tuned and untuned metallic percussion, created with spent brass field artillery shell casings from the WWI and WWII eras. We also recorded an Eastern Bloc infantry combat helmet and a couple of decommissioned modern hand grenades. For this 2.0 upgrade, we remastered the samples and added them into our flexible modular template, then created brand new ambiences and evolving textural soundscapes from the raw recordings. We also designed 20 new custom FX presets using all of the sound-sculpting features within this new upgrade to give you instant inspiration for your next music composition.
Under the cover of night, we infiltrated our favorite recording hall to experiment with some army party favors: a collection of spent artillery shells and headwear. We used our state-of-the-art gear to capture multiple velocity layers in multiple articulations for each piece of Army equipment. Unsatisfied with just 3 mic positions (close, wide, and far), we went back and recorded each shell and helmet dry in a booth to really give you the ability to sculpt the sound you want.
