“Sordina” allows you to apply a wide range of mutes to your unmuted virtual brass instruments or live recordings. The results are very accurate reproductions of the genuine mutes and can be applied to a wide range of musical genres including but not limited to: Film Scoring, Jazz, Funk, and Big Band.

Sordina works by using detailed impulse responses created through the analysis of real-world recordings of muted and un muted instruments. The results are very accurate reproductions of the genuine mutes.  As with real mutes each of Sordina’s virtual mutes has a different character and responds slightly differently to the input signal they are applied to.
