Impact Soundworks announces updated & expanded Kageyama Taikos

Impact Soundworks has released an update of Kageyama Taikos. This drum library has also been expanded to offer more timbral variations. In addition to this new material, the updated Kageyama Taikos is now compatible with the free Kontakt Player — and it’s all still $99. More details from Impact Soundworks below.
In 2021, we released Kageyama Taikos, featuring taiko master Isaku Kageyama performing a selection of traditional taiko drums and percussive instruments in an intimate studio setting. Now, that collection has been expanded to offer even more timbral variations: a brand-new 16″ Chudaiko drum as well as new reverse-side samples for two other drums. Playing on the reverse side of the drum is a common practice in taiko ensembles, so these additions lend even greater authenticity to the library!
The detailed, up-close recordings of Kageyama Taikos give this library the versatility to shine not just in traditional music and epic orchestral works, but anywhere else you need expressive, nuanced performance: pop and rock, jazz fusion, tense underscores, and more.
We brought these drums out of the more common ensemble or concert hall setting, focusing instead on an intimate studio sound. These detailed, up-close recordings result in a much more versatile sample library, allowing you to use it in any style of music you can imagine. We’ve recorded every drum in this set in great depth, spanning many articulations, dynamics, and variations.
