IK Multimedia has announced Sinphonica MAESTOSA Strings, a string library built around a 60-piece ensemble of Italian players. The collection covers the full string family, from violins to basses, and is pitched as spanning intimate phrases through to cinematic power. It forms part of the company’s Sinphonica line and is currently open for pre-order.

The library features 60 Italian string players divided across five sections. Violins I has 16 players, Violins II has 14, Violas has 12, Cellos has 10 and Basses has 8. Each section is also listed as a separate product on the IK Multimedia product page, while the full Sinphonica MAESTOSA Strings collection includes all five.

Performance features include five True Legato styles and eight microphone perspectives, giving the sections several playing and mixing options. IK Multimedia frames the collection as covering everything from intimate phrases to cinematic power, with the ensemble spanning first violins down to the basses.

Pre-order pricing is $/€399.99, a saving of $/€100 against the regular price of $/€499.99. IK Multimedia says the introductory price will not last and is ending soon. Release is expected in early October 2026. Listed prices exclude taxes and VAT and may change.
